Continuous Improvement

It’s important to me to continue to improve my life. I have two people to live and provide for so there’s no option to fail.

I’ve always been book smart, so continuing to improve my career has always been easy. It was as simple as degree after degree.

I strive to have a healthy work-life balance, so when I move forward in one area I have to move forward in another. Having a healthy work-life balance promotes a stable environment for your kids whether it’s a two parent household or not.

But how do I improve my life? One step at a time. I take the time to write down the things I need to work on. For example, sometimes I’m overly aggressive about things that I’m passionate about which can be overbearing for some people. So, I work on how I react to certain situations.

It’s important to self reflect on your actions and the problems that you may cause or bring to the table. People may be committed to misunderstanding you but that’s not your problem. It’s your job to understand who you are and what’s important to you.

Knowing who you are and standing solid on that creates a healthy space for your children. They’re able to see/feel inconsistencies in their life. As a mom, continuous improvement is important to me because as they grow I need to be able to grow.

Because I’m their sole provider, it all starts with me. In order to grow a healthy family it all starts with a solid foundation. Because of them I’m committed to being not just the best mom I can be, but being the best person I can be.
